Jai Jagdambe Modular Furniture

We are situated at Plot S- 9/6 in the Hingna MIDC area. If you come down this way you will see a lot of industrial sheds and heavy vehicles. Our place is where we put together all kinds of modular furniture. Jai Jagdambe has been here for a bit and the workshop is always dusty because of all the wood cutting and sanding we do. There is the constant sound of saws and drills going off. We spend most of our time measuring boards and edge-banding pieces to make cabinets and wardrobes. It is a large shed so there is enough room to move the big sheets of plywood around. We don't have a fancy air-conditioned showroom with lights and decorations. Everything here is raw and unfinished until it gets sent out to a customer's house. You will find stacks of laminate and boxes of hinges lying around everywhere. The workers are usually covered in sawdust by the end of the shift. We have a small corner with a table where we look at drawings and talk about the designs. It is hard work and the summer heat makes the metal roof quite hot but we are used to it by now. People from the city come here to see how we build things and we just show them the actual work in progress. It is a noisy and messy environment but that is how furniture gets made.
