If you are walking around the Ground Floor of Jaswant Tuli Mall on Kamptee Road, you will find us. We just called the place Hair And Beauty because that is exactly what we do. Being in a mall in Nagpur means we see a lot of people just passing by. We are quite close to the CCD, so sometimes people come in for a haircut after they finish their coffee. The mall atmosphere is different from a street shop. It is always air-conditioned, which is nice when it is forty degrees outside. We have glass walls, so you can see people shopping while you get your hair done. It is a bit like being in a fishbowl sometimes. We have a few staff members here who have been around since the mall opened. The chairs are comfortable enough, and we have those big mirrors with the lights around them. Sometimes the mall music plays over our own, which gets confusing. On holidays, the place gets packed with families and teenagers. We spend a lot of time cleaning the mirrors because people are always touching them. It is a straightforward setup. No fancy stuff, just scissors, combs, and a lot of shampoo. Kamptee Road is always buzzing, and being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just pop in without taking the escalator. It is a good spot for people watching while we work.
