Our place, Golden Emu Farms Pvt. Ltd., is out on Mohadi Road. If you know where Om Clinic is in Mahabal, we are right there at Plot Number 12. It’s usually pretty dusty around here, and the birds make a lot of noise early in the morning. We spend most of our time out in the pens or checking the feed. It’s not the kind of work where you stay clean for long. We’ve got the office set up, but honestly, nobody spends much time sitting behind a desk. There is always something that needs fixing or a fence that needs looking at. The sun hits the plot hard in the afternoon, so we usually take a break when it’s at its peak. Neighbors from the clinic side sometimes pop their heads in to see what’s going on with the emus. They are strange birds, but we have gotten used to them over the years. We started this because we had the land and figured it was worth a shot. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate or the birds get restless. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the gate and the work we do every day. It's a simple life out here on the edge of town, and we just keep at it, day in and day out, making sure everything runs okay.
