Amidhara

Our spot is at Plot U-155 in the MIDC area on Hingna Road. If you’ve ever driven through this part of the industrial estate, you know it’s just row after row of sheds and small factories. Amidhara is one of those places. We have been working out of this plot for a while, and the routine is pretty much the same every morning. We show up, open the gates, and get the machines running. It can get pretty loud once everything is turned on. We do a lot of different things here depending on what people need. Most of our neighbors are doing similar work, so there is always a lot of movement on the road outside. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain makes the road a mess, but we just deal with it as it comes. It isn’t a glamorous business. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints or just checking the dimensions on whatever we are making that day. There’s usually a thin layer of oil on everything and the sound of metal hitting metal. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We like being in MIDC because everything we need is close by. If a tool breaks, there’s usually a shop a few blocks over that has what we need. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to stay busy and keep things moving along.
