Novelty Agro Ind. is just a small shop, number 135, right in Gole Bazaar. If you know the market, you know it’s the place to go when you need anything related to farming or agriculture. We keep a lot of stock in a very small space. The shelves are packed with whatever the local farmers are asking for this season. It might be tools, it might be supplies, it just depends on the time of year. Gole Bazaar is a circle, so people are always walking past the shop front. It gets pretty dusty with all the trucks coming in and out to unload goods. We don’t have a big staff, just me and a helper who knows where everything is hidden in the back. We open early because that’s when the farmers come in from the outlying areas. By the afternoon, it gets a bit quieter, and that’s when we sort out the inventory. It’s a basic business. We don't have a computer system that tracks everything perfectly, we mostly use a big ledger and our memory. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the next delivery, but customers around here are patient. They know we’re doing our best with what we have. It’s just a regular shop in a regular market, trying to keep the local farms going. It isn't much, but it's our livelihood and we've been at it for years.
