Bandu Hair Dresers

Our shop is tucked inside the Shivani Business Centre on Koradi Road. It is right across from the Bank of India in Mankapur. Nagpur gets very hot in the summer, so the shop is usually a place where people come to sit in the shade for a bit while getting their hair cut. I’ve been doing this for a long time. My father was also in this line of work. We have regulars who have been coming to us since they were children, and now they bring their own kids. The business centre is always a bit noisy with people going in and out of the offices. We keep the mirrors clean and the scissors sharp. It isn’t a big fancy salon with soft music, just a regular place where men come to get a shave or a trim. Sometimes the bank employees come over during their lunch break. We talk about cricket or the local news while I work. Mankapur has grown a lot since we first opened. There are more cars on the road now. We stay open late most days because that is when the office crowd finishes work. It is a simple life, but I like being my own boss.
