We are located in Khaperkheda, right in the main market area near Station Road. The sound of the trains is something you just get used to when you work this close to the tracks. Being in the main market means there is constant noise and people everywhere, which keeps things interesting. Our shop is a busy place where we handle different food products every day. It’s a lot of back-and-forth, moving stock from the back to the front and making sure everything is counted correctly. The building has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and serves us well. We usually open up early in the morning when the first trains start coming through. It gets dusty because of the road and the station nearby, so we’re always cleaning something. We don't have a big management team; it's just a few of us doing the heavy lifting and talking to the folks who come in. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by candlelight for a bit, but we don't let it stop us. We’ve been a part of the Khaperkheda market for a long time now. People know where to find us if they need anything. It’s a straightforward business, no frills or extras, just moving food items and keeping the books straight at the end of the day. It is what we know how to do, and we just keep going.
