Shri Veerteja Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our office is right here in the village of Bharnai, in the Nagaur district. If you look for Khasra number 55, you’ll find where we operate. It is a real rural setting, which makes sense since we are a farmer-owned group. Shri Veerteja Farmers Producer Company was started because we wanted a way for the local guys to work together instead of everyone just doing their own thing. It is mostly just us sitting around a table in a simple room, talking about seeds, weather, and market prices. Nagaur is a tough place sometimes with the heat and the dry land, but we manage. We aren’t some big corporate office in a city. Our floors are often dusty from the boots coming in from the fields. We keep our records in big ledgers and on a basic computer. Most of the work involves talking to the farmers in the V.P.O. and making sure everyone has what they need for the season. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we disagree on how to do things, but we’re all from the same area, so we figure it out. We handle the paperwork for the crops and try to find better ways to sell what we grow. It is honest work, and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. If you come by, you’ll likely find us drinking tea and looking over the latest agricultural charts or just catching up on local news.
