Shastry Tours

We are over at No. 1124 on Gita Road in Chamarajapuram. Most people know where we are because we are very close to the RTO. It is a good landmark for giving directions. Shastry Tours is a family-run business and we have been in this spot for quite some time. We have a few cars and we help people plan their journeys around Mysore and the surrounding areas. Some days we are just booking a simple trip to the railway station, and other days we are planning a whole week of sightseeing. I handle most of the bookings myself. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place to sit and work. I have my maps on the wall and my phone is usually ringing. Mysore 570005 is a more traditional part of town and it feels very familiar to us. We like to talk to our customers face to face. It feels better than just sending emails back and forth. Sometimes people stop by just to tell us how their trip went, which is nice. We don't use any high-tech systems. We just use our experience and a few good notebooks. We just want to make sure the drivers are ready and the vehicles are in good shape. It’s a simple way of working but it has served us well for a long time and we plan to keep it going.
