Golden Marble & Granite Exports is situated over on Hyder Ali Road in the Lashkar Mohalla area of Gandi Nagar. Our address is 3941/1 A. This part of town has a lot of history, and we’ve been part of it for a fair while. We mostly deal with exporting stone, but we also handle local requests too. The building we’re in is older, and it has a lot of character. We have slabs of marble and granite leaning against the walls in the back area. It’s a heavy business, and we’re always covered in a bit of dust. My grandfather started this business, and we’ve kept it going through some tough times. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the relationships we’ve built over the years with quarries and builders. Sometimes we have some really beautiful pieces of marble with interesting veins, and it’s a shame to see them go. But that’s the business. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the stone before it gets packed into crates for shipping. It’s a lot of manual work, checking for chips or uneven polishing. We aren't perfect, but we try our best to be honest about what we're selling to people. If you walk into our place, you’ll probably find us drinking tea and talking about the latest shipment. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, even with all the heavy lifting going on around us. That's just how we do things.
