The office for Gouri Shankara Tours & Travels is right on High Tension Double Road in the Vijayanagar area. If you know where the Canara Bank is in the 2nd Stage, we are basically right near there. It’s a busy road with a lot of traffic passing by all day long, so there is always some noise from the scooters and cars outside. We’ve been at this 1547 address for a good bit of time. People around here usually just drop in when they are thinking about a trip or need a vehicle for a few days. It’s not a big corporate setup with uniforms or anything like that. We are just local people working in the neighborhood. The space inside is mostly just filled with files and a few computers. We spend our mornings talking to drivers and making sure everything is ready for the day's trips. Sometimes things get a bit hectic when multiple people come in at once, but we manage. Mysore is a great place to drive around, and we know the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the congestion. We don't really do much advertising because most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from their neighbors. It’s a straightforward business. We provide the transport and you go where you need to go. That is pretty much how it has always been for us here.
