Down in Munger district, specifically in the Jamalpur block, you will find us working away in Vill-Parham. Our company is called Munger Mentha Producer Company Limited. We are located in Dih Tola Farda, which is part of the Panchparham area. As the name suggests, we are very involved with Mentha. It is a crop that requires a lot of attention and the right timing. Our group is made up of people who have been living in this village for generations. We know every path and every field in Parham. We decided to form this company so we could handle the Mentha production more collectively. It helps us when it comes to drying the leaves and getting the oil processed. The work is physically demanding and your clothes end up smelling like mint for days. We don't mind it much. Our office is just a simple room in the village where we keep our logs and meet with the other growers. Jamalpur is a good place to be, and the people here are very supportive of what we are trying to do. We don't have any big corporate dreams. We just want to make sure the Mentha from our part of Munger is handled properly and that the farmers get what they deserve for their hard work in the sun. It is a very local effort and we are proud of the way our community works together.
