Karn Bhumi Krishak Producer Company Limited is based out of Munger, specifically in the area called Rampur Bhikhari. The company is run by the family of Summay Devi and her husband Raj Kishor Choudhary. Munger is a place with a lot of farming tradition and we are glad to be a part of it. We got started because we were tired of how hard it was to get a fair price for our crops. By coming together as a group, we have a bit more say in things. We aren't a big company with a lot of branches. We are just local people from this village. Most of the business happens right here in Rampur Bhikhari, often in a small room or out in the fields themselves. We don't have any fancy machines or big marketing budgets. We just use what we've learned from our parents and our own time in the soil. The weather in this part of Bihar can be very difficult, so having a group helps us get through the bad months. We don't use any polished language or try to sound like something we aren't. If the crops are doing well, we're doing well. If not, we just have to work harder to make ends meet. It’s a simple life but it's ours. Anyone who wants to talk about farming or the local market is always welcome to stop by. We stay grounded in our roots.
