Kenash Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Sangrampur East. We are located near the SBI building, which makes us pretty easy to find if you are in the Bhawanipur area. This is in East Champaran, Bihar. We are a collective of local farmers. We figured out a while back that we could do more if we joined up. We deal with all sorts of agricultural production. Being near the bank is handy for our paperwork and for the farmers who come to see us. Sangrampur is a busy little place. We spend our mornings talking about the crops and our afternoons getting things ready for market. There is always someone dropping by to ask about seeds or tools. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that people know us. In East Champaran, farming is everything. We take it seriously but we don't act like we are better than anyone else. We are just folks who work the land. Sometimes the office is a bit messy with papers and samples, but that’s because we are actually working. We don't have time for fancy decor. Our focus is on the fields and the harvest. It is a long day usually, starting early before it gets too hot. We are just trying to make a go of it here in Sangrampur for everyone.
