Zandu Pharmaceutical Works

Our place is at 402 Bhatia Mahajan Wadi, right on Kalbadevi Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how Kalbadevi is. It’s always crowded, always moving, and always loud with the sounds of horns and people shouting. Being in an old building like this has its quirks. The hallways are narrow, and the stairs have seen better days. But there is a lot of history in these walls. We work out of this space every day, surrounded by the busy energy of the market. The Mahajan Wadi is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We spend our hours checking lists and moving stock around. It gets quite warm in the summers, so we keep the old windows open as much as we can. You can hear the tea sellers and the delivery carts downstairs. It’s a bit of a struggle to get big deliveries in through the traffic on the road, but we manage. Everyone in the building knows each other. We say hello in the morning and complain about the heat together. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have fancy office furniture or anything like that. It’s just desks, chairs, and lots of paper and boxes. It’s been this way for a long time, and we like the rhythm of it. It’s just part of the Kalbadevi life we know.
