Santosh Ayurvedic Drug Supply Company is located at 33/102 on Dariyasthan Street in Masjid Bunder West. This part of the city is always packed with people and carts. Our shop is quite old and we have been here for a long time. We supply all sorts of Ayurvedic drugs to other shops and individuals. The air here always smells like dried ginger and various roots. It’s a very traditional environment. We have heavy wooden shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. I spend a lot of my time climbing the ladder to get things down for customers. It’s a manual process and we don’t use much technology. Our ledger books are thick and filled with years of sales. The street outside is narrow, so deliveries can be a bit of a headache. We have to time everything perfectly so the trucks can get in and out. Most of our customers have been coming to us for decades. They trust us because we’ve been around so long. My father still comes in sometimes to sit in the back and keep an eye on things. We have a small desk where we do all the paperwork. It’s a bit cluttered with samples and jars, but we know where everything is. It’s just how we run our business. We aren't trying to change anything that has worked for us for fifty years.
