World Time Centre

World Time Centre is located on the ground floor of 171 D N Road. It’s a classic part of the city with all those old stone buildings and high ceilings. We’ve been here long enough that the sound of the buses and the street traffic just blends into the background now. Inside the shop, it’s mostly the sound of different clocks ticking if the street gets quiet for a second. We work on all sorts of timepieces here. Some are old family items that haven't ticked in years and others are just cheap plastic ones people wear for work. Our workbench is usually covered in tiny screws, gears, and tools that most people wouldn't even know the names of. It takes a lot of patience to do what we do. We aren't in a rush to finish things because that’s how mistakes happen with delicate parts. The shop itself has high ceilings but we’ve filled up every bit of wall space with all kinds of clocks. Some of them don't even tell the right time anymore, but they look nice so we keep them around. D N Road is a good place to be. You see everyone from office workers in a hurry to tourists walking past 171. We keep the front door open most days to let a bit of air in. It’s a simple life, looking at tiny springs all day long. We don't even have a computer in the shop.
