Woodland Corporation

People usually find us on the ground floor of the Sanskar Building. It is right there on Hosur Road in Ghatkopar West. Most days start with opening up the shutters and letting some air into the office. It’s not a fancy place, just where we do our daily work at Woodland Corporation. You can hear the traffic from the road all day long, but you get used to it after a few weeks. The tea guy comes around ten and that is usually the highlight of the morning for most of us here. We have some desks, a few old files piled up in the corner, and a phone that rings more than it probably should. The ground floor location makes it easy for people to just drop in without having to deal with the stairs or the lift, which breaks down sometimes anyway. It gets a bit crowded when we have deliveries coming in, but we manage to shift things around. The walls could use a new coat of paint, maybe something brighter than this off-white we have had for years. Sometimes the rain leaks in a bit near the front door if the wind is blowing the right way. We just put a towel down and keep going. It is just a normal office where we spend our hours and try to get things sorted before heading home in the evening traffic.
