Our shop is over in the Oshiwara Mega Mall, units 18 and 19 to be exact. It’s a pretty standard mall setup, but we’ve made our space feel a bit more like home. Ood Life isn't a massive operation. We are just a few people who show up every day to keep the shelves stocked and help whoever walks through the door. Some days the mall is packed and other days it’s just us listening to the radio. We don’t have a big corporate strategy. We just picked this spot because it was available and it seemed like a good place to start something. We handle the day-to-day stuff ourselves, from sweeping the floor to talking to suppliers. It can get a bit loud in the mall on weekends, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. We aren't really interested in the high-pressure sales stuff you see in other places. If someone wants something, they buy it. If not, that's fine too. We keep things simple. The lights in the back room flicker sometimes, and the inventory is always a bit of a puzzle, but we manage. People stop by on their way to other shops and we end up chatting about the weather or the traffic outside. It's a living. We just keep the doors open and see what the day brings us. It's not always perfect, but we like it here. We take things as they come and try to stay helpful without being pushy.
