Western India Marine Mills & Engineers is located at No - 185, Janjikar Street. This is in one of the older parts of Mumbai, not too far from the docks. The building is old and the stairs are quite narrow. We deal with parts for marine mills and other ship-related machinery. Janjikar Street is always crowded with people and handcarts moving goods around. It’s a very traditional market area. We have been here for a long time, watching the city change around us. Our shop is full of heavy metal components and old catalogs. It smells like oil and old paper in here. We don't have a modern showroom. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us sorting through inventory or talking to a supplier on the phone. The work we do is very specific to the marine industry. We don't try to do everything, we just stick to what we know. Most of our customers are ship owners or maintenance crews who need something specific that they can't find elsewhere. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. We just open the shop in the morning and wait to see who comes in. It’s a slow and steady kind of business. We’ve been part of this street’s history for quite some time now and we plan to stay.
