Welcome Arts

You can find Welcome Arts over at Gala No. 3. We are located right by Dr. Chandra Hospital in Zarimari. This is on the Kurla Andheri Road in Andheri East. Being on such a major road means there is never a quiet moment. There are buses, autos, and trucks going by at all hours. The hospital is right there, so there are always people around the area. Our gala is a bit tucked in, but once you’re in the building, we’re easy to spot. It’s a functional space. We have our work benches and the storage area for our materials. The floor is concrete and has some cracks from years of heavy use. We don’t mind it much. It’s a place for work, not for showing off. The humidity can get a bit much during the monsoon, especially being in this part of Andheri. We use a couple of heavy-duty fans to keep the air moving so it doesn’t get too stuffy. Most of the people we deal with are locals or people who work in the nearby industrial estates. We keep a simple schedule, opening up in the morning and staying until the work is done. Sometimes we have a chat with the shopkeepers next door while having a quick chai. It’s a busy, gritty part of town, and we’ve been working here long enough that the noise doesn't bother us anymore. We just get on with our business as usual.
