Over in Mahim West, specifically at C-64 in the Vsnl Staff Qtrs on Mogul Lane, you’ll find our little corner of the world. This place has a lot of history since it’s part of the residential area for the Vsnl workers and their families. The building itself is an older Mumbai style, with 230 Mogul Lane being a spot that many people in the neighborhood know well. We aren’t in some shiny new office park in the suburbs; we are right here where people live and work together every day. The vibe is very down-to-earth, and you can often hear the sounds of the city and the neighbors while we are going about our daily tasks. We deal with various technical things and communication tasks, though the pace can vary depending on what’s happening in the network at that moment. There are plenty of wires, old monitors, and coffee mugs scattered around the workspace. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really notice the quirks of the building anymore, like the slow elevator or the way the windows rattle when the monsoon winds pick up. It’s a comfortable place to work because it feels familiar and safe. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive office furniture. We just have what we need to keep the systems running and the communication lines open for everyone. It’s honest work in a part of Mumbai that still feels like a real community and we like it here.
