Voltas Limited

You can find us at Madhusudan Chawl, specifically Room No. 98. We are on P. B. Marg in Worli, Mumbai 400013. We are right near the Century Textile Mills. This is a Voltas Limited spot, but it’s very different from a modern office tower. Working out of a chawl means you’re right in the middle of everything. It’s loud, it’s crowded, and there’s always something happening. The room is small and we’ve had to be smart about how we fit everything in. We have our files, a desk, and just enough space to move around. Being near the mills means the area has a lot of history, even if things have changed over the years. We don’t have air conditioning that works all the time, so we rely on the breeze when we can get it. The neighbors are right there, so you hear everything from cooking to kids playing. It’s a very human way to work. We don’t use fancy language or have big meetings here. It’s more about fixing problems and keeping track of what’s going on in this part of the city. We’ve been in this room for a long time and the walls have seen a lot of work. It’s not fancy, but it’s where we belong. On rainy days, we have to make sure the door stays shut tight so the water doesn't come in from the hallway.
