Creative Engineers

We’ve been over here in Sion Manik Baug for a good while now. It’s a busy spot in Pune 1 and honestly, it gets pretty loud with all the traffic outside. Most days at Creative Engineers, you’ll find us surrounded by metal scraps and old drawings. We just get on with the work. There isn’t much fancy about the place. We have some heavy machines that have seen better days but they still run just fine if you know how to talk to them. Sometimes the tea guy comes by late, and that’s the highlight of the afternoon when we’re deep into a project. It’s mostly just us trying to figure out how to make things fit together right. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. It’s more about the smell of oil and the sound of the lathe. People around here know where we are because of the blue door, though the paint is peeling a bit now. We don't really do big meetings or anything like that. If someone needs something fixed or built, they just walk in and we talk about it over a stool. It's a simple way of doing things but it works for us. Pune is changing fast but this corner of Manik Baug feels the same as it did years ago. We just keep the lights on and keep working until the job is done. The workshop can get quite dusty, but that’s just how an engineering shop should be. We just clear a spot on the bench whenever a new job comes in.
