Vodafone Gallery

Our place is the Vodafone Gallery located on Bhatar Road in Lower Parel. It’s a busy street and there’s always something going on outside. Inside, it’s a bit more organized, though we do get a lot of people coming in at once during lunch hours. We handle all sorts of phone things, from SIM cards to bill payments. It’s not a massive showroom, just a practical space where we can help customers. Most of the time, the air conditioning is humming and we’re sitting behind the counter. We see a lot of different people every day. Some are frustrated with their signal and others just want a new plan. We listen and try to sort it out as best as we can. Sometimes the systems are slow and we have to tell people to wait a bit, which isn’t ideal but it happens. We have a couple of chairs for people to sit while they wait. The walls are mostly plain. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, so the locals know exactly where to find us. We don't really have a big story to tell. We just show up, do the work, and help whoever walks through the door. It’s a regular job in a regular neighborhood. We try to keep things simple for everyone who comes in. There is usually someone here from morning until the sun goes down.
