VK Telecom

You can find VK Telecom over in Malad East, specifically at Sona Udyog on Parsi Panchayat Road 9. It’s an industrial sort of area, so it gets quite loud with trucks and tempos moving around all day. We work out of a space that's mostly filled with cables, routers, and telecommunication gear. It’s not a retail shop where you’d come to browse; it’s more of a place where things get built and tested. Parsi Panchayat Road can be a bit of a mess when it rains, with puddles everywhere, but we’re used to it. We handle a lot of the technical side of telecom stuff that people don't usually see. Our days are spent checking connections and making sure signals are going where they should. It’s repetitive sometimes, but it’s important work. We have a small team here, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We eat our lunch together at a small table in the corner. There’s no fancy coffee machine, just a kettle for tea. We don’t spend money on advertising because the work usually speaks for itself through the people we deal with in Malad East. Sona Udyog is a busy complex, and we’re just one of the many businesses trying to get things done. We stay late if a project needs finishing, and that's about it. The street lights on Parsi Panchayat Road 9 don't always work, so it can be quite dark when we finally lock up for the night. We've gotten to know the other shop owners in Sona Udyog, and we sometimes help each other out. We’re just here to do the work.
