Vissi Plastic

Vissi Plastic is located in Goregaon West, specifically in Building No 1 at Gala No 26, right near S V Road. It’s part of a larger industrial area, so there’s always the sound of other factories and workshops nearby. Our space is mostly filled with machines and big sacks of plastic granules that we use for production. It’s not the cleanest environment, but it’s where we get the work done and we've been here for a while. We spend a lot of time monitoring the temperatures and making sure the molds are working correctly so the parts come out right. If something goes wrong with a machine, it takes a while to fix, so we have to stay alert even when the work feels a bit repetitive. The air has a faint smell of warm plastic, which you get used to after just a few days on the job. We don’t have an air-conditioned office or anything comfortable like that to sit in. It’s just a concrete floor and some basic plastic chairs where we sit for our lunch break. Most of the time we are on our feet, moving boxes of finished products or loading up the raw materials into the hoppers. We know the other guys in the building pretty well, and we often share a quick chat near the entrance. It’s a very practical way to spend a day and earn a living. We don’t have any big signs or advertisements outside to attract people. We just keep the machines running.
