Vijays is just a small place here at Malad West on the 7th Cross. If you walk down 14th Main, you will see the sign near the corner of 1. It is not a big fancy office or anything like that. Most days start around nine when we pull up the heavy shutters. The lock sometimes sticks when it has been raining, which happens a lot around here. Inside, there are stacks of things that have been here for a while and some new stuff too. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes around to make space. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full speed, making that clicking sound. People from the neighborhood walk by and wave. Some stop to ask for directions or just to see what is new. It is a bit cramped, honestly. The desk in the back is piled with papers and old receipts that I really should organize one of these days. There is a tea stall just a few doors down, and the smell of ginger tea usually drifts in around eleven. That is when things start to pick up a bit. We don't have a big team or fancy uniforms. It is just us here, trying to get things done and keeping the place running. The floor is a bit scuffed from all the shoes coming in and out, but it doesn't bother anyone. We keep the lights on until late most nights.
