If you look for us in Santacruz East, you’ll find the shop on 100 Feet Road, at 26/201. Being on such a main road means there is always noise and people passing by. I’ve been working as Vijay Mistry here for a long time, and the name on the door is just what it is. Most of the work involves getting my hands dirty with whatever project is currently on the bench. I don’t have a big team of marketing people or a fancy reception area. It’s mostly just tools, materials, and me trying to finish things by the deadline. Some days I’m out on a site and other days I’m stuck in the workshop. The 100 Feet Road area has grown so much lately, it’s hard to keep track of all the new faces. My customers are mostly locals who have been coming to me for years. They know I don't give them a lot of talk, I just look at the problem and tell them what it will take to fix it. I like the routine of it all. Opening up in the morning, having a quick coffee, and then getting into the rhythm of the work. Sometimes I stay late if a job is tricky. It’s a simple way to make a living, and I’m quite content with how things are going right now. No one expects perfection, just honest work done by someone who knows his trade.
