Vankal Bangles

We work out of Room No. 3 in Dinesh Colony. It’s located on Appa Pada Road in Kurar Village. If you are near the Aashirwad Hotel in Malad East, we are just a short walk from there. The room is quite small, but we have managed to fit thousands of bangles on the walls. It is a very colorful place to be every day. We spend a lot of time sorting them by size and making sure nothing is cracked. It’s delicate work. Sometimes the colony gets very noisy with kids playing outside or people shouting to their neighbors. We don't mind it. Being in Malad East means there is always something happening. We have customers who have been coming to us for years, ever since we first started in this little room. We don't have a big window to show off the goods, so people usually hear about us from someone else. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we use a small table fan to keep the air moving. We sit on the floor mostly because it’s easier to work with the boxes that way. We don’t have fancy packaging. We just wrap the bangles in paper and put them in a bag. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and it works for us. Life in Kurar Village is busy, and we are just happy to have our little spot here. We keep the door open so friends can stop by and say hello while they are passing through the colony.
