Vaidya Mepabhai Clinic

Our clinic is right here in Jailaxmi Shopping Centre on M G Road. If you know the Bank of India in Ghatkopar West, you can see us just across from it. It is a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming back from the station. The shopping center itself is an older building, so it has that familiar feel people around here like. We have been in this space for a long time now. Inside, there isn't much to see, just some chairs for waiting and the cupboards where we keep all the herbs and powders. My father used to say that a clinic should be about the talk between the person and the vaidya, not about how fancy the tiles are. So we kept it simple. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the small hallway, and people have to stand for a bit, but nobody seems to mind much. We open up early and stay until the last person is seen. Ghatkopar is always noisy with the traffic and the shops, but once you step inside, it gets a little quieter. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. Most people who come in live just a few streets away or they work in the shops nearby. We know their names and what’s been bothering them for years. It’s just how we do things here.
