Uttam Bearings

Uttam House is where we spend most of our time. Being on P D Mello Road means we are right in the middle of all the traffic and movement. We’ve got a lot of bearings here. Big ones, small ones, and the ones that are hard to find. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes because we try to keep everything organized but boxes just keep arriving. Mahendra Nagar is a familiar spot for anyone who does industrial work around here. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. It’s not a shiny showroom. It’s more of a practical space where we check part numbers and help people find exactly what fits their machinery. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s just us moving stock around on Haji Bapu Road. We know the regulars by name and usually know what they need before they even ask. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t do anything flashy. If a machine is down, someone comes here looking for a replacement part, and we look through the shelves until we find it. The stairs in the building are a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when we’re carrying heavy crates. It’s just the way the old building is. We stay busy enough. There’s always someone needing a specific size or type of bearing that they can’t find elsewhere, and usually, we have it sitting in a bin somewhere in the back. It's a lot of metal and grease, but it's what we do.
