We are located at 19/4-B, Shiring Manzil, on Din Bhai Petit Lane. It’s just off Balaram Street in Grant Road East. Being in an old Mumbai building means we have high ceilings and those narrow wooden stairs that creak when you walk up. Adilaid Spares Export handles a lot of different parts, so our rooms are usually filled with heavy boxes and the smell of metal and oil. It’s not a polished corporate office. We have old desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. Most of our work involves checking part numbers and making sure things are packed right for export. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls to shipping agents. The street outside is always noisy with honking cars and people shouting, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy descriptions. We’re just a small group of people who know spare parts well. Sometimes the packages take up all the floor space, and we have to step over them to get to the phone. It’s a busy, dusty environment, but it works for us. We aren't looking to be the biggest export house; we just want to get the orders right. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, especially when we have a big shipment going out. It is honest work and keeps us occupied.
