I have my space at 28/43 Tardeo, which is on the 3rd floor. It’s right beside the Sobo Center, so it’s easy enough for people to find once they are in the neighborhood. Tardeo is one of those parts of Mumbai that feels like it’s always in a rush. My office is in an older building, and it has that classic feel to it. It’s not shiny and new, but it’s sturdy and serves its purpose well. I spend most of my day here handling various matters that come across my desk. Being on the 3rd floor means I can hear the traffic from the street, but it’s not too distracting once you get used to it. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so I’ve seen how much it has changed over the decades. My office is filled with files and books that I’ve collected over the years. It’s a bit of a traditional way of working, I guess, but it works for me. I don’t use any fancy management software or anything like that, just a good old-fashioned ledger and my own notes. Clients who come to see me usually appreciate the straightforward approach. We sit down, talk through whatever is on their mind, and see what needs to be done. It’s a very practical way of handling business. Tardeo is home to me, and this office is a big part of that.
