We are up on Level 2 of V Mall. The mall is located at No. 235 right on the Western Express Highway in Kandivali East, specifically in the Thakur Complex area. Our day is mostly about handling stacks of paper. People come to us when they need their certificates stamped for going abroad or for job requirements. It involves a lot of going back and forth with different government departments and embassies. The mall itself is a bit of a landmark here, so people find us easily enough once they get to the second floor. We have a few desks and a lot of files. It’s not the most interesting work, but someone has to do it. You see a lot of people who are stressed out about their travel plans or their visas. We just take the documents and tell them how long it’s going to take. The highway outside is always loud with cars and trucks zooming past. Since we are in a mall, it’s nice because we have the air conditioning and it’s a bit quieter than being right on the street level. We usually have people coming in all through the afternoon. It’s a lot of checking names and dates and making sure the seals are in the right place. We just keep things organized so nothing gets lost in the pile of folders we have on our desks. It's just us and our stamps.
