Trishul Telecom

Trishul Telecom is tucked away in the Rameshwaram Society over in Chembur. We are on Road No 3, at number 34. It’s a decent area, mostly residential, so we know a lot of the families who live in the buildings nearby. The shop is small, mostly just enough room for the counter and a couple of stools for people to sit while they wait. We handle a lot of different things related to phones and talk time, though it has changed a lot since we first opened up. In the early days, things were different, but now everyone has a smartphone. I spend a lot of time explaining how certain things work to the older folks who live in the society. They appreciate having someone local they can talk to instead of calling a helpline. It gets a bit quiet in the afternoons when it’s hot outside, but once evening comes, the street gets busy again. We have a small fan that keeps us cool, and we usually have the radio playing in the background. It’s not a big franchise or anything like that. Just a local shop where we know most people by their first names. Sometimes we run out of certain items and have to wait for the distributor to come by on his scooter. It is a slow pace compared to the main market, but we like it that way. It feels more like a community spot than just a store for us and our neighbors.
