Al Ashraf Mobiles Sales & Service

Our shop, Al Ashraf Mobiles Sales & Service, is down on Road No 6 in Shivaji Nagar, Govandi. It’s a lively part of the city where there is always music playing or people talking loudly. We have a small storefront where we display a few phones and some accessories. The back part of the shop is where we do all the repairs. It’s a bit cramped back there with all the tiny screws and screwdrivers. We’ve been in Govandi for years, so we know just about everyone on this block. We fix a lot of cracked screens and batteries that won't charge anymore. It’s a lot of sitting under a bright lamp and squinting at circuit boards. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny sign. Most of our customers come here because their friend told them we could fix their phone quickly. Some days are slow and we just sit outside and watch the world go by on Road No 6. Other days, we have a line of people waiting before we even open. We try to be fair with what we charge, and we don't use a lot of complicated words to explain what's wrong with a device. We just tell it like it is. Shivaji Nagar can be a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat, but we have a good fan and we keep at it. It’s a simple life running a mobile shop here in this neighborhood.
