You can find Transworld Trading Co over on V P Road, which is part of the busy Charni Road area. Specifically, we are at number 355 on Vithal Bhai Road. It’s a very central location, which means there is never a quiet moment outside our windows. The traffic is usually backed up, and you can hear the local trains not too far away. Our office is on one of the middle floors of an older building. The elevator is one of those old-fashioned ones with the collapsible metal gates that you have to pull shut yourself. Inside, it’s mostly desks squeezed together and a lot of filing cabinets. We deal with a lot of paperwork every day, so there are always stacks of folders and envelopes waiting to be processed. It’s not a modern, open-plan office; it feels more like a lived-in space where people have been working for decades. We have a small pantry where we make coffee and tea, and that’s usually where the best conversations happen. We don’t have any slick marketing displays on the walls, just a few calendars and some old photos of the city. It’s a practical place for a trading business. We spend our time on the phone or checking lists, making sure things are moving from one place to another. It’s a simple setup, and we like it that way because it lets us focus on the tasks at hand without any unnecessary distractions.
