Universal Traders

Universal Traders is located on the 5th floor of the Panchratan building at No. 20 Almeida Park Road. It’s an older building, and sometimes the elevator doesn't work perfectly, so we've had to walk up those stairs more than a few times. Our office is where we handle the trading of all sorts of goods. We don't actually keep much stock here; it’s mostly just where we handle the orders and the paperwork. We have a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. It’s a small space, but it works for what we need. We can see Almeida Park from some of the windows, which is a nice break when we've been staring at invoices all day. We aren't a big company with a lot of departments. It is just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We know the suppliers and we know what our customers are looking for. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several things are happening at once, and the phones are all ringing. We just try to stay calm and work through the list. We have our small kitchen area where we make tea and eat our lunch together. It’s a simple, local business and we just keep it running day by day without any fuss.
