Tooltech Mould

If you walk down by Liberty Garden in Malad West, you’ll find us at G/01. We are Tooltech Mould. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but we have all our equipment packed in there. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of projects going on at once. We spend most of our hours looking at metal and making sure the shapes are right. Making moulds is tedious work and requires some patience. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit around waiting for it to come back so we can finish the job. It’s been our routine for years. The neighbors know us by the sound of the grinders. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us because someone else told them we could handle a specific job. There are three of us here most days. We drink a lot of tea while we look over the drawings. The floors are concrete and always have a bit of oil or metal shavings on them. It’s hard work on the hands. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest to the desk picks it up. That's just how it is at Tooltech Mould. We’re just local guys making things that people need for their own businesses. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. We like being near the garden too.
