About The Learning Curve, Worli – Education in Mumbai
We are tucked away in the back of Udyog Bhavan on the ground floor. Being in the East Wing, specifically the rear part, means it’s a bit quieter than the front of the building at 250 D. Worli is such a loud, fast place, so it’s nice to have this little corner for The Learning Curve. We are right next to the Omkar 1973 towers, which are huge and sort of tower over our little spot. It’s a funny contrast, really. The kids come in every morning, and the parents are usually in a rush to get to work in one of the nearby offices. Inside, we have everything set up for the little ones. It’s not a massive space, but we’ve made it work with different areas for playing and learning. The floors are covered in mats and there are toys scattered around by noon. We spend a lot of time just keeping things tidy and making sure the gate is secure. The light doesn’t always hit the back wing perfectly, but we have plenty of lamps to keep it bright. It feels like a small world of its own inside a very big city. You can hear the construction and the traffic outside, but once the kids start their day, that all fades into the background. It’s just us and the daily rhythm of Worli life, day after day, year after year.
