New Sagar Kids

If you walk down Malad Station Road, you will see how chaotic it gets with all the commuters. We are right there at Shop No 15/16 on the ground floor. The address mentions Commercial Street in Bangalore but we are actually here in Malad West, right opposite the station. Being on the ground floor is helpful because people can just duck in while they are walking to or from the train. We deal with kids' items, so the shop is usually filled with colors and various small things piled up on the counters. It gets pretty loud outside with the bus drivers honking and the street vendors calling out, but we are used to that noise by now. Inside, we try to keep things as tidy as possible, though with kids' stuff, that isn't always easy. We have a couple of fans going all day to keep the air moving because it can get quite stuffy during the summer months. Most of our regulars are local parents who live nearby or work in the shops around Malad. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. We just open up in the morning, wait for the first customers, and stay until the station traffic starts to thin out at night. It is a busy life, but it keeps us moving. The shop has been a part of this street for a while and we know most of the other shopkeepers around here.
