Mini Kids

Our shop is tucked away in the B Wing of Sai Mangal, which is right next to the big Malad Shopping Centre in Malad West. Being at Shop No 2 means we are on the ground level, but people sometimes miss us because they are looking at the main mall. It is a small space that we have filled up with as many kids' things as we can fit. The racks are usually overflowing and we often have boxes of new stock sitting in the middle of the floor because there is nowhere else to put them. Kids come in and move things around, and their parents are usually in a hurry, so the shop is rarely perfectly tidy. We spend a lot of our time just folding clothes back up and putting toys back in their right places on the shelves. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise that we have just gotten used to over the years. We eat our lunch on a small stool behind the counter when the shop is quiet. Malad is a very crowded area and the noise from the street comes right through the door. We have been here for a good amount of time and know the other shop owners in the wing. It is a bit cramped and the display window gets dusty from the traffic outside, but it is our little spot and we keep it going every day.
