The Kerala Agricultural Development Society

We are tucked away in Shop No 13 of the Abhishek Building in Vile Parle West. It’s a decent-sized space, but we manage to fill it up pretty quickly with all the stuff coming in. People usually come to us looking for things from back home or specific agricultural items that are hard to find in the city. Being in Vile Parle, we get a lot of foot traffic from people heading to the market. The Kerala Agricultural Development Society isn’t a flashy place. We have some shelves, a desk, and usually a few bags of stock sitting on the floor waiting to be sorted. It’s a bit of a community hub, really. People stop in just to chat sometimes while they’re out doing errands. The building is older, so the shop has that lived-in feel to it. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look perfect. Our focus is just on having the items people need when they come through the door. Sometimes the shipments are late, and we have to explain that to our regulars, but they usually understand. It’s a simple setup. We open up in the morning, handle the distribution, and keep things running as best as we can. It’s honest work and keeps us busy all day. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it can get a bit chaotic inside.
