If you come down Mithbunder Road in Thane East, you’ll find our little office at 204 Marigold. It’s part of the Satguru Garden complex, which most people in the neighborhood know. It’s a decent enough spot, though the stairs can be a bit of a struggle if you’re carrying a lot of heavy boxes. We’ve been here at Kaustubh Agro Herb for quite a while. The room is usually filled with the strong smell of whatever we’re working with that day, which is actually a lot better than the smell of the traffic and exhaust outside. Thane East has its own vibe, a bit slower than some other parts of the city but still constantly moving. We have a few people working here, mostly just handling the boxes and the logistics of the orders. It’s a lot of manual work, checking labels and making sure the counts are exactly right before anything leaves. We don’t have a big corporate board or a mission statement on the wall. It’s just us. The old desk in the corner has a wobbly leg we’ve been meaning to fix with a piece of folded cardboard for months. It’s that kind of place. We know the neighbors in the building, and they know us. We don’t do a lot of advertising because we’re usually too busy with the day-to-day tasks that pile up. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit in the afternoon, but we just wait it out or move our work closer to the window. It’s just a normal business in a normal building.
