Maa Gayatri Agro Agency is located in Essar House in the Mahalaxmi area. We have a P.O. Box, number 7945, for most of our mail because it’s just easier that way. Working in the agro sector means we are often thinking about the weather and the seasons. Even though we are in an office building like Essar House, our talk is usually about crops and what the farmers need this month. It’s a bit of a contrast, being in a busy area like Mahalaxmi while dealing with things that grow in the dirt. We have a lot of catalogs and samples of seeds and other supplies laying around. The office can get a bit dusty from all the samples, but we don't mind. We spend a lot of time talking to dealers and trying to get things delivered to rural areas. It’s a lot of logistical work. We don't have a fancy website or a social media manager. We just use the phone and talk to people we’ve known for years. Sometimes the elevator in the building takes forever, so we end up waiting around and chatting with the other people who work in the house. It’s a friendly enough place. We just try to keep the orders moving and make sure we don't run out of the basics. It’s a simple business, really, and it keeps us busy enough throughout the year.
