Thakker Plastic

Thakker Plastic is a shop we run in Kandivali West. You can find us at Shop No 8 in the Gana Kunj building. We are right on M G Cros road. It’s a very busy street with people constantly walking by. The shop is full of plastic items for the home. We have everything from buckets and mugs to storage boxes and stools. Because the shop is small, we have things hanging from the ceiling and stacked high on the shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze to walk through sometimes. We’ve been here in Kandivali for quite a few years now. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood or local shopkeepers who need supplies. We don't have a computer system for sales. We just write everything down in a notebook and keep the cash in a small wooden box. It’s how we’ve always done it. The shop gets very bright in the morning when the sun hits the front. We have a small fan that doesn't do much, but it’s better than nothing. M G Cros road is a loud place with horns honking and people shouting. We are just a small part of that noise. We don't do any big promotions. People just know Thakker Plastic is here if they need something sturdy for their house. We enjoy the daily chats with our regulars. It’s a simple retail life, and it keeps us occupied from morning till night. We just try to keep things in stock for everyone.
