Ispat House in Worli is where we spend most of our time. Being near B G Kher Marg means we get a bit of that sea breeze when the windows are open, though usually, we just keep the AC running because of the humidity. Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited has been operating from here for quite a bit. It’s a large building and there are always people coming and going through the main doors. Our floor is usually quite busy with people checking on network status and looking at data charts. It’s not the most exciting work if you aren’t into telecom, but it keeps things moving. We have a canteen that serves decent poha in the morning. Sometimes the meetings go on for longer than they should, but that is just part of the job. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. It’s a straightforward workplace where we manage the telephone lines and digital services for the region. The traffic outside can get pretty bad around five o'clock, so most of us try to finish up our logs before the rush starts. You see a lot of the same faces in the lobby every day. It feels like a small community inside a big name. We just focus on keeping the systems running and making sure the signals don't drop out too often. It’s just a normal office life for us in this part of Mumbai.
