Our place is right at the corner of M G Road and Ebrahim Rehmatullah Road. Being in such a busy spot means there is never a dull moment. Tata Communication Internet Service is where we spend our days dealing with routers, wires, and people complaining about their slow connections. It’s a very urban setting, lots of traffic and people shouting outside. The office isn't very big, and it's usually filled with rolls of yellow cable and old modems. We don't have those fancy glass walls or free snacks you hear about in big tech companies. We just have some plastic chairs and a lot of work to do. M G Road is always under some kind of repair, so it’s always a bit of a mess outside our door. We help the local shops and residents get their internet working. Sometimes we have to climb up to the roof or mess around with the wiring in the basement. It’s a lot of physical work, not just sitting behind a screen. We know the chai wallah nearby very well because we need a lot of tea to get through the afternoon. It’s a gritty, real-world job. We don’t talk about "connecting the world" or anything like that. We just try to fix the line so someone can watch their videos or do their work. It’s practical work for a busy neighborhood, and we just keep at it.
