Tardeo Gadi Bhandar

Tardeo Gadi Bhandar is located right near the police station in Tardeo, at shop number 41295. We deal with mattresses and bedding, which is what "Gadi" means for those who don't know. The shop isn't very large, but we pack it full of cotton and fabric. You can usually see us sitting out front or working on a new mattress right there. It’s a busy street, and being near the police station means there's always something going on outside. We've been here for years, and the locals know us well. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. People just walk in when they need a new bed or want their old one refilled with fresh cotton. It’s a lot of manual work, beating the cotton and sewing the covers by hand. The dust gets everywhere, but we are used to it by now. We usually have the radio playing some old songs while we work. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because we can't put the stuff outside to dry, but we manage. We aren't some big factory. It’s just a traditional shop doing things the old way. We talk to the people who pass by, have some tea, and keep making the beds. It’s what we know how to do, and we just keep at it every day.
